BEAR SHOLA FALLS

Bear Shola Falls, located at a distance of 2 km from the Kodaikanal Lake, is another popular tourist spot within the destination. Owing to the fact that in earlier days bears used to come to this fall for drinking water; thus, the falls has got its name as Bear Shola Falls. Situated at a distance of 1.5 km, the fall is one of the most ideal picnic spots in Kodaikanal town. The best time to a visit this lake is during the rainy season. This is because during this season, the beauty of the falls is at its fullness.

SOOCHIPARA WATERFALLS

Soochipara Waterfalls is another beautiful waterfall in Wayanad. Waterfall can be seen from a far which is a beautiful view. To reach the waterfall, one has to trek down 2 km through dense equatorial forest over steep rocks.

PERUNTHENARUVI WATERFALLS

Perunthenaruvi,one of the beautiful tourism place is a waterfall & its 36 km(via Vachoochira) from Pathanamthitta District . It is a popular tourist destination. The name “Perunthenaruvi” means “The Great Honey Stream”. Located on the Western Ghats of the Sahyadri Range, Perunthenaruvi is famous for the waterfalls there. Major attractions of Periyar wildlife sanctuary are boat cruises on the lake, elephant ride, trekking, wildlife photography and bird watching.

THOMMANKUTTU WATERFALLS

Thomankuttu and Rainbow Waterfalls are located at a distance of 20 and 25 km from Thodupuzha. The waterfalls are an ideal destination for all those who love to picnic in a natural surrounding. The first mentioned seven steps and a number of surroundingcaves characterize waterfall. MULAMKUZHI WATERFALLS

This is a tiny village nearly 15kms from Malayattur. The crystal clear medicated water of the River Mulamkuzhi and the waterfalls of Venanbravady near Malayattur is an enchanting sight. There is also a confluence of the rivers Periyar and Perumthode. In Ernakulam district Mulamkuzhi is a small village about 15 km from Malayattur. It is situated at the point of juncture of rivers Periyar and Perumthode. The river Mulamkuzhi flows through the nearby mountain ranges and cascades into a huge waterfall. It is a picturesque location and a very famous tourist site. Mulamkuzhi waterfall is situated in Mulamkuzhi village in Malayattoor in Ernakulam district.

NYAYAMAKAD WATERFALLS

Nyayamakad Water falls is 10 Kms from Munnar,Kerala, located between Munnar and Rajamala Nyamkad is a land of breath taking waterfalls. The Water cascades down a hill from a height of about 1600 meters, the enchanting surrounding make an excellent picnic spot and trekking point. The Nyayamakad Waterfall is located at a distance of 10 kilometers from Munnar. Fresh, cool spring waters cascade down the hillock from an amazing height of about 1,600 meters. This is a famous picnic spot. Walk up to the Nyayamakad gap to take in brilliant views of the Munnar valley covered with a green carpet of tea plantations. Here you might come across tea pickers at work. It is a great opportunity to mingle with the locals, learn a thing or two about tea gardening and experience a day in their lives.

THUSHARAGIRI WATERFALLS

Lying 50 kms east of Kozhikode, Thusharagiri is a little tribal tourist spot in Kerala. Tow streams originating from the Western Ghats meet here to form the River Challipuzha. The river diverges into three waterfalls, creating a snowy spray, which gives the name ‘Thusharagiri’ which means ‘snowy peak’. A 5km trek upstream will take one to the stream’s origin. Of the three waterfalls, the highest is the Thenpara that drops 75 meters below.

DHONI WATERFALLS

Dhoni, situated at a distance of 15kms from Palakkad is a fairly long climb of a 3-hour trek from the base of the Dhoni Hills. This reserve forest area with its small, beautiful waterfall has many tourists all through the year. It is a splendid and captivating waterfall. KOMBAIKANI AND MEENMUTTI WATERFALLS

Kombaikani and Meenmutti Waterfalls are 60 kms from Thiruvananthapuram and 7 kms from Bonecaud estate. This 4 feet cascade is one of the most verdant and untouched spots in Kerala. These are two magnificent waterfalls on the upper reaches of the Neyyar Reservoir. These waterfalls and the forests around them are worth seeing.
